The condenser coil allows the hot refrigerant vapour to release its heat, which is then used to warm up the indoor space. As the refrigerant loses heat, it condenses back into a liquid.
The expansion valve is positioned between the condenser and the evaporator. It reduces the pressure of the refrigerant, allowing it to cool down and absorb heat once again when it flows back into the evaporator coil.
